John Grisham : The Partner (Review)

Only a few months back, I was not really into novels.
Even read my first just 2 months back.
But now as it is something my necessity -I am just loving it.
Just finished "The Partner" by John Grisham, a thriller !!

The novel started on a light note by the abduction of a renowned lawyer in New Orleans who died in a car wreck 4 years ago. He was in Brazil with his secretary cum girlfriend who used to take care of all his deeds and the money he stole after the week of his death.
Patrick Lanigan married and father of a 6-year-old daughter was working for a firm in this city with other four Partners.
He was a man of commitment and honest with his profession. After his abduction by some local mafia, he was given pathetic bruises on his naked body just to get the idea of where he had put the ninety million dollars and how?
Somehow the FBI got to know about the whole abduction process and threatened Mr. Stephano to give him back to FBI, the man who was in the background of kidnapping and torturing of Patrick also known as Danilo Silva in Brazil.
He was brought back to his native land and welcomed with charges of embezzlement and murder of an innocent in his car wreck. He was so severely tortured that instead of putting him behind the bars he was admitted to hospital under FBI custody. 
Having not talked with Danilo, Eva was so scared that she wired all the money to other accounts shrewdly and with the prophecy that now she might be under the scanner of the mafia. She contacted Sandy in a frenetic way and told him to meet his friend as soon as possible and be his lawyer in New Orleans.
Trudy Lanigan could not believe herself that her husband is alive and now she was sued by the insurance company to return their two million dollars. Her longtime boyfriend whom she had laid down when 14 was astonished to listen to this news and was eager to kill him again with assurance.

The hearing started but FBI did not indict him either for embezzlement nor for murder but only a felony for mutilation of a corpse. Patrick was a player and settled all the deals before the hearing.
Albeit the term for mutilation of a corpse is one year but the family of Clovis did not want to frame him for his incarnation. Clovis was an old fellow dwell in the woods nearby and repay Patrick after his death. The all four Partners were behind the bars with Benny Arecia whom money Patrick confiscated shrewdly. Now he was a free man with no past as Patrick died and Danilo was very happy with Eva.

The plot of the story is very indulging and its very hard to stop once you get into it.
The 42 chapters are beautifully correlated and explanation of everything is quite clear.
 The climax of the story is handsomely plotted and Patrick has been shown as an impeccable hero who knew everything and even plotted everything from his car wreck to the accusation.  
If thriller is your genre then I would recommend reading John Grisham for once.
